Most likely your preview resolution is set too low.Go to “View -> Resolution -> Full”

I got AE CS5 but still cant open the file..unless its only for Apple computers. I use HP laptop…

The file works on both OSX and Windows computers and all After Effects versions CS4 and above.Why can’t you open the file?

So you CAN open the file? It is possible it gives you an error about a missing font.

Yes.You can change to color or use a gradient if you want.
